Michele Petruzziello is an Italian filmmaker, photographer and director, he has lived in New York since 2003 where he works for the main Italian TV channels and among the most prestigious Italian brands. He has been working for years for Rai, the Italian public TV in the production of reportage and television services. At the same time he realizes personal projects, among many the photographic one, goodbye my love, where the protagonists are young Italian immigrant, immortalized in modern New York but dressed like the first immigrants who arrived at the beginning of the 1900s, and for this project he received in 2015 the award Amerigo as the best Italian photographer in the United States.
Italian immigration has always been present in his projects, as well as in his docufilm Once upon a time in Brooklyno, where he talks about the famous little Italy of Brooklyn and its protagonists. This docufilm, its been select for many festival around the world and the prestigious Big Apple film Festival in NYC.
